MUST HAVE Supplies for Lularoe Consultants:Part 1

I have wanted to write this post or make a video on this topic for awhile now. When you are in the queue to become a Lularoe consultant, there are a lot of things that you can be doing to set yourself up for success and one of those things is gathering all of your supplies. If you are like me, you spend hours on the internet trying to research the best brands of everything so that you don't waste time or money buying the wrong things. I'm going to make it fairly simple and give you a break down of everything that I have used and determined to be necessary. You can run an in person pop up with just the six things listed below. I will make a future post on things that you will need if you intend to do a lot of online sales.

1. Hangers.
So, your inventory arrives at your door and you're ready to start hanging all of that wonderful LLR up but what will you use? If you plan to use plastic hangers, Ikea sells this four pack of plastic hangers for around forty cents a pack. I wanted to go with velvet hangers because I don't like clothes sliding off of the plastic hangers but that is personal preference. If you do want to go with velvet, find someone with a Costco membership and borrow it for the day to stock up on hangers! They sell a 35 pack of velvet hangers for $9.99 and they put them on sale for $7.99 several times a year. Next time they have that sale, I am going to stock up again because I am running low. Boxed.com also has a pretty good deal on them if you are a first time Boxed shopper and can use a coupon. The only downside is that 9.5 times out of 10, they are out of stock.

2. Racks
Now that you have your new delicious Lula on hangers, where will you hang them? If you are planning to do a lot of in homes and/or vendor events, you will need portable racks like these from amazon. I have broken mine down and put them back together a million times and they are still doing great. My only complaint would be that I have to tighten the wheels every now and then but I can deal with that for the price. If you are not planning to do in homes, or you will be doing all of your in person pop ups in your own home, these prince hanging systems are popular. I am installing mine this week so I can't personally vouch for them yet. **Update: I absolutely love the my prince hanging system. It saves so much room in my lularoom!**

3. Ipad or Iphone
Now that you have all of those gorgeous pieces hung up, you need to be able to sell them. Right now, the new invoicing system only runs off of apple devices. The desktop version will be coming soon but I have actually found my ipad to be one of the best investments that I have made for my business. I added it to my cell phone plan so I never have to worry about if I will have wifi at pop ups. This purchase was made the day after my second pop up where I didn't have wifi and I haven't looked back since. It is also really great for taking inventory pictures and adding those pictures into my inventory system, Shop the Roe. **Update: The invoicing system can now be used from a desktop or android phone so instead of ipad, this should just be "a device to invoice from". I still think my ipad has been one of my best investments so far, though!**

4. Shopping Bags
Okay, you are all plugged into the new invoicing system and you are ready to sell! But... what will you put the items in once you sell them? If the sale was made online, you will use mailers which we will talk about in a future post but for in person events, you will need shopping bags. I received shopping bags in my initial order but I have heard of a lot of people not receiving them lately so it wouldn't be a bad idea to order these from Amazon to be sure.

5. Business Cards/ Care Cards
You are off to a great start but since you're making sales, you want your customers to know how to get in touch with you and how to care for their items! I ordered these off of Etsy and had her format them to both be 4x6. I then emailed the file to Office Depot and had them print them front and back and they go in all of my packages- both shipped and in person.

6. Really, really big bags.
If you are traveling to vendor events or in homes, you will need a way to transport all of that amazing Lula. I use these Ikea bags because they are affordable and really durable.

These items will get you on your way to selling in a in home or vendor event capacity, keep an eye out for part 2 when I talk about what things you will need to sell online!
